After stumbling upon a horrific act of violence, a young punk rock band find themselves trapped in a secluded venue, fighting for their lives against a gang of skinheads intent on eliminating all witnesses.

I directed the Behind-the-Scenes efforts for this film, directed by acclaimed director Jeremy Saulnier (Blue Ruin) and had the honor of interviewing Patrick Stewart, Anton Yelchin, Macon Blair, and Imogen Poots, among many more. Produced by A24, Broad Green Pictures, and Film Science.

Skateland

This film takes place In the early 1980s, in small-town Texas, in which dramatic events force a 19-year-old skating rink manager to look at his life in a new way. It was an Official Selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. I directed all the EPK material.

At Psychedelic Science 2013, over 100 of the world's leading researchers from 13 countries presented recent findings on the benefits and risks of LSD, psilocybin, MDMA, ayahuasca, ibogaine, marijuana, and more, over three days of conference presentations. I created an immersive behind-the-scenes interview piece with my partner Galina Joyce Peters.

Afternoon Delight

Starring Kathryn Hahn, Juno Temple, Josh Radnor, and Jane Lynch, this dramedy follows a bored housewife who opens up Pandora's Box by letting a young stripper come and live with her and her family. I directed, shot, and edited the film's official EPK videos, creating 9 mini-documentaries for the film's promotion and bonus materials. Some of the videos profile Jill Soloway, who received the Best Director honor at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Videos coming soon!

Lean Content

I edited and associate produced this 10-part immersive online course, directed by 2-time Sundance winning Ondi Timoner. Designed by New York Times best-selling author and entrepreneur Eric Ries, Lean Content applies “lean methodology and ‘tech’-niques” to content creation, financing, distribution, marketing, and monetization. It was exciting to be on the front lines of tech disruption and bring this revolutionary series to life!

I headed all production of this advocacy video for SMC Emeritus College, a state-funded school for seniors aged 55-105. The purpose of the video was to convince the California legislature of the tremendous value the school has on people's lives and on the State's economy.

The World Underground: China

I am the lead editor for the groundbreaking new series The World Underground, a dynamic musical portrait of underground music scenes around the world. In this installment, Gonzo Chicago founder John Yingling traveled to mainland China, filming an eclectic and explosion blend of punk, pop, and noise, with his sites set on the rumblings of political and developmental change in the streets. John is an impassioned advocate for music, a loyal servant like me, and it's been a pleasure working with him.

Break of Reality

I had the privilege to direct a live concert performance from the cello rock ensemble Break of Reality. They are classically-trained musicians who play a variety of complex covers, original pieces, and cello classics. I couldn't be happier with the product and it was also a real pleasure to collaborate again with my Director of Photography Robert L. Garza and Sound Engineer David Hixon, who were my fellow soldiers in the field on Echotone.

Since their creation, these videos have reached nearly a million views and have catapulted Break of Reality toward a large nationwide fan base.
